Rachille Tanner Rusche is a mom. At just 27 she has 3 little boys, all two years apart. Rachille is going crazy! Not really, but it was heading that way. You see, Rachille is a wonderful mom with a wonderful husband and all the tools to be able to stay home and raise her kids, a luxury for most moms. But the isolation and full-time mommy status had Rachille rethinking this whole ‘stay-at-home mom’ thing. It’s not that she doesn’t love her kids, or needs the extra money…it was a few things she was missing in her life…like…adult conversation or any emotional support to understand the crazy world of staying at home with 3 young boys.
Not far from deciding to take a job and put the kids in Day Care...Rachille found her last minute reprieve and the answer to finding peace and guidance as a full-time mom. Enter …MOMS CLUB of Grand Junction! The acronym stands for “MOM OFFERING MOMS SUPPORT”. With slogans like ‘You’re not alone’, ‘Get out of the house’ and “we take care of each other”. Rachille was in heaven! Sort of…but it is amazing what a little help can do for your attitude, and having just a little time to go to the gym for an hour or go grocery shopping alone, will do for your mental wellness. The MOMS Club is just that a group of Stay-at-Home moms that support each other through morning coffee talks, babysitting for each other, mommy night outs and a host of other activities and supportive events. They are even required to do service work! Active, busy and not alone! Rachille, took the bull by the horns and was even Vice President of her chapter for a while. Proving that we can all do a lot…with just a little support! Rachille talked to me for a few minutes while she was feeding the boys lunch…it’s amazing how a mom can multi-task!
