Joe Reed likes his life. He's successful, confident and above all believes in Joe Reed. But it's what a doctor told him on his last check-up, that shook Joe's foundation up a little bit. Okay...maybe a lot. The doctor told Joe if he didn't lose weight and change his eating habits...he'd be dead by Christmas.  Weighing in at 325 pounds...and just 33 years-old, Joe was, well...stunned. But it was the spark that has now ignited him on a journey. A healthy journey... guided by the Professionals at Gold's Gym in Grand Junction. You see, Joe agreed to the terms of a FREE membership, Personal Training and a host of other 'accountable' items and services donated by area businesses. The caveat? Joe has to STICK to the plan. If not? He has to pay back all the services sent his way. But ...nobody wants to see Joe do that! Everyone wants Joe to succeed and lose his target weight of 100 pounds in 12 months. Joe has a lot of support...but in the end...Joe has to be the one to want it and put in all the work. The early morning workouts...the eating right and doing what he's told when nobody is there to guide him. Will he make it? Only Joe knows. This Time Next year we will check in on Joe...to see if actions speak louder than words...either way...Joe's life has changed....from not thinking about his weight to knowing that it's something that will probably always weigh on his mind.
