Madison with her mom and dad, Doug and Michelle Scarborough…. And her Baby Brother
Madison was tired of going back and forth. Her parents got divorced when she was so young. But, being young and optimistic was the one thing this smart little girl had going for her. She knew there was only one answer for her problem, and she went straight to the top. Doug and Michelle Scarborough of Montrose….married young and then came a baby girl named Madison. A little much for this young couple who had known each other since High School. But sometimes we don’t see what innocent eyes see …clear and free of the prejudices of adult life. Madison’s mission may have been selfish at first, she didn’t like getting shuttled from parent to parent…and she loved them both dearly…but she wanted a mom and dad …not this separate sharing deal that wasn’t a family at all but a child ‘time-share.’ She wasted no time when she realized what she had to do…she closed her eyes and talked to the Big Guy or Girl in the sky…God. And every night without fail… in her room…mom and grandma could hear what Madison hoped God was hearing…her prayers of bringing back the two most important people in her life, Mom and Dad. As you might imagine, it tugged at the heart strings and played on the emotions of mom and dad and grandma. But …prayers to unite a mom and dad who are already divorced are the stuff of movies right? Right?
You might just be surprised at what happened or how many times Madison has prayed and how many of those Prayers have come true. Or …you might not be. But …I guarantee you are going to be a little mesmerized at how “not so little’ the 8 year-old Miss Madison is. Belief is powerful stuff…and through the voice and eyes of a child who desperately wants just one thing…it apparently can do what nobody else could do. Let’s just say Madison doesn’t go back and forth anymore…and she has had a few ‘bonus’ prayers answered.
